چکیده

This report provides the formalization of DEECo concepts and operational semantic of DEECo systems. Further, it establishes the refinement relation and shows the centralized tuple space semantics (as featured by local and Apache River-based knowledge providers in jDEECo). Towards Verification of Ensemble-Based Component Systems

The relatively new domain of Ensemble-Based Component Systems (EBCS) brings a number of important verification challenges that stem mainly from the dynamism of EBCS. In this paper, we elaborate on our previous work on EBCS verification. In particular, we focus on verification of applications based on the DEECo component model – a representative of EBCS – and evaluate it on a real-life case stud...

High-Resolution Modeling of Energy-Services Supply Systems Using deeco: Overview and Application to Policy Development

Contemporary energy policy problems typically involve issues of (1) technology selection, placement, and scheduling, (2) energy-services demand modification by location and time-of-use, and/or (3) new sourcing options including emerging renewables. The high-resolution energy systems modeling environment deeco (dynamic energy, emissions, and cost optimization) naturally captures interactions bet...

A new multi-step ABS model to solve full row rank linear systems

ABS methods are direct iterative methods for solving linear systems of equations, where the i-th iteration satisfies the first i equations. Thus, a system of m equations is solved in at most m ABS iterates. In 2004 and 2007, two-step ABS methods were introduced in at most [((m+1))/2] steps to solve full row rank linear systems of equations. These methods consuming less space, are more compress ...

Simulation of Micro-Channel and Micro-Orifice Flow Using Lattice Boltzmann Method with Langmuir Slip Model

Because of its kinetic nature and computational advantages, the Lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) has been well accepted as a useful tool to simulate micro-scale flows. The slip boundary model plays a crucial role in the accuracy of solutions for micro-channel flow simulations. The most used slip boundary condition is the Maxwell slip model. The results of Maxwell slip model are affected by the ac...

Fractional Thermoelasticity Model of a 2D Problem of Mode-I Crack in a Fibre-Reinforced Thermal Environment

A model of fractional-order of thermoelasticity is applied to study a 2D problem of mode-I crack in a fibre-reinforced thermal environment. The crack is under prescribed distributions of heat and pressure. The normal mode analysis is applied to deduce exact formulae for displacements, stresses, and temperature. Variations of field quantities with the axial direction are illustrated graphically....
